National Pickling Cucumber
The Association of National Pickle Packers wanted a perfect pickling cucumber. They turned to the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station for help and as a result, in 1929, The National Pickling Cucumber was born. These cukes are jar sized: 5 to 6 inches tall, with tapered ends to make them fit more evenly. Their lightly striped skin is thin and tender, allowing them to easily absorb spices. This prolific producer is also delicious served fresh!
