A drought tolerant 3-4 ft. tall and equally wide, hardy perennial with handsome, 6-8 in. olive-green, heart-shaped leaves. Plants spread quickly and thickly (not invasive) to form easy to grow, weed suppressing ground covers. Winter hardy to zone 4. Abundant spikes of butter-yellow hooded flowers appear mid-Spring and are a tasty edible flower with abundant nectar. Be patient as the seed is quite slow to germinate. SSF.
