Golden Acre Cabbage Seeds
About-Â Growers can enjoy early fresh market harvests with Golden Acre Cabbage. This cold-hardy variety produces solid, round, 3-4 lb. heads with delicate, crunchy flavors and a mild, buttery taste when cooked. Perfect for slaw, stir-fry, and other kitchen preparations, Golden Acre has a compact habit and is resistant to yellowing, allowing for dense plantings with excellent yields.
When and Where to Plant– Start indoors and transplant outside 2-3 weeks before your last expected frost. Will germinate in temperatures as low as 40°F. Prefers an area with full sun and slightly acidic, moist soil.Â
Care and Harvest–Â Harvest cabbage as soon as the head is firm all the way through when you squeeze it. Cabbage is a heavy feeder, so be sure to fertilize often.
