This is the most widely grown type of Millet, having been grown for millennia in northern Africa. This is a fast growing grass that can reach over 4 feet in height and its seeds are a high protein (15-20%) ingredient in forage mixes. For human consumption it must be hulled. Another use is as an ornamental, in that its seed heads are a beautiful mix of white and violet on large upright stems. SSF.
