National Pickling Cucumber Seeds
About–Â This variety was originally developed by the National Pickle Packers Association to fulfill their needs for a pickle with the perfect shape and crispness for canning. The thin skin of this cucumber allows it to easily absorb any spices used during pickling. Can be easily grown up a trellis for container or raised bed gardening.
When and Where to Plant–Â Direct sow 3-4 weeks after the last frost in the spring or start indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost. Plant in an area that receives full sun and soil that is drains well.
Care and Harvest–Â Keep well-watered and fertilized throughout the growing season. Harvest often when mature by twisting the fruit off the vine.
