Walla-Walla Onion Seeds
About-Â This Walla-walla onion packs a sweet punch! These onions can be planted in the Fall to overwinter for the biggest bulbs and sweetest flavor, or in Spring for a Fall harvest of smaller bulbs. Enjoy fresh or cooked quickly!
When and Where to Plant–Â Start indoors 10-12 weeks before your last frost. Keep trimmed to 4-6″ to prevent them laying over. Transplant into garden around last frost date, taking care not to damage roots. Prefer full sun and well draining soil.
Care and Harvest–Â Fertilize with nitrogen, and water often. Harvest before they flower, by pulling bulbs and allow to cure 2-3 weeks. Trim tops to 1″ and store in a cool, dry, dark location.
